What is a chemical laboratory? What is an instrumental analysis laboratory? Simply put, both are general physical and chemical laboratories. Below, I will bring you a detailed explanation of the chemical laboratory and instrumental analysis laboratory. Please pay more attention.
I. Chemistry laboratory
The so-called chemical laboratory belongs to the category of general physical and chemical laboratories. It is a laboratory that provides conditions for chemical experiments and conducts scientific inquiry. Chemistry laboratories are divided into 2 categories, namely: organic chemistry laboratory and inorganic chemistry laboratory. The two have both commonalities and differences. The former has higher requirements for explosion protection and ventilation than the latter, and it is usually necessary to add explosion-proof cabinets and desktop ventilation.
As mentioned above, the purpose of a chemical laboratory is to provide relevant personnel with chemical experimental conditions. It is a laboratory for scientific inquiry. Its main functions are divided into three categories, namely: volumetric analysis, routine analysis, and sample pre-processing. In addition, depending on the nature of the experiment, it involves toxic, flammable, explosive, strong acid, strong alkali and other substances.
II. Instrumental Analysis Laboratory
The so-called instrumental analysis laboratory belongs to the category of general physical and chemical laboratories. It is a way to train relevant personnel for the use of basic instrumental analysis equipment, experimental research and practice through the determination of material transmittance and absorbance and the use of automatic potentiometric titrators. Hands-on laboratory.
The instrument analysis laboratory is divided into 2 areas, namely: precision instrument room and ordinary instrument room. Among them, the former is used to install amplifying analytical instruments, and the latter is used to install small analytical instruments. However, it should be noted that even for similar instruments, there are often differences in requirements due to differences in models.
Specifically, the precision instrument room houses 9 large-scale analytical instruments, namely: gas chromatograph, gas mass spectrometry, liquid chromatography, liquid mass spectrometry, ion chromatograph, atomic absorption spectrometer, atomic fluorescence spectrometer, ICP -MS instrument, ICP emission spectrometer. The general instrument room is equipped with three small analytical instruments, namely: spectrophotometer, infrared spectrometer, and capillary electrophoresis.
In terms of indoor ventilation requirements, instrument analysis laboratories are higher than chemical laboratories. This is mainly reflected in constant temperature and humidity, air purification, air flow, and exhaust. In addition, if the equipment has anti-vibration requirements, it is necessary to consider setting up an independent equipment anti-vibration foundation or vibration isolation measures.
The power supply of the instrument analysis laboratory should be both AC and DC, and the power socket should also be both AC and DC. If there is a requirement for electromagnetic interference prevention, grounding and electromagnetic shielding must be done. If there are cooling water and various gas supply requirements, relevant measures must be taken.
I believe that through the above detailed explanation, everyone has a preliminary understanding of the chemical laboratory and the instrumental analysis laboratory.
