1. Pathological examination standards for four types of laboratory animals

2. Laboratory animal microorganism control standards
Experimental animals can be divided into four levels, which are ordinary animals, clean animals, animals without special pathogens, and sterile or full-bodied animals.
① First-level common animals: First-level common animals (CV), laboratory animals that do not carry pathogens of zoonotic diseases and severe animal infectious diseases. The feeding environment is an open system, and there is no requirement for air cleanliness.
②Secondary clean animals: Class II clean animals (CL), except for pathogens that should be excluded from ordinary animals, do not carry pathogens that are harmful to animals and interfere with scientific research. From SPF animals or Caesarean section animals. Generally raised in a semi-barrier system.
③The third-level special pathogen-free animal: The third-level special pathogen-free animal (SPF) refers to the animal without specific microorganisms and parasites in the animal, but with non-specific microorganisms and parasites. Mainly refers to the pathogens that do not carry potential infections, conditional diseases, and interfere with the experiment. It is derived from animals delivered by caesarean section and raised in the barrier system.
④Grade four sterile animals (GF) or GN animals: GF or GN animals. Sterile animals refer to any part of the animal's body and outside using existing detection technology. Animals with no live microorganisms and parasites can be detected. Sterile animals originate from caesarean section or hatching of sterile eggs and are raised in an isolation system. Known animals or known bacteria animals, in a broad sense, sterile animals, known bacteria animals, and animals without specific pathogens are collectively called known animals; in a narrow sense, they refer to known bacteria animals.
3. Requirements for the design and management of animal laboratories
There are different requirements for the design and management of animal laboratories for different levels of laboratory animals. Sterile, known bacteria and animals without special pathogens need to be raised in a sterile or as sterile environment as possible. ②Open system: It is a system that does not eliminate pollution for people, objects, air, etc. entering and leaving the room, but usually requires a certain degree of cleaning management.
③Isolation system: It is a system that raises animals in a container with operating gloves, and is used to raise sterile animals and sedans. The interior maintains the cleanliness of class 100 according to the requirements of microorganisms, but the rooms and operators do not need to be considered as sterile rooms.
④Laminar flow rack system: The cage is placed in clean horizontal laminar air. It is often used for small-scale breeding, but there is a risk of contamination during breeding, operation and treatment in general rooms. Can be used to supplement the semi-barrier.
⑤Semi-barrier system: relax the management of people and objects in the barrier system when entering and leaving the room, and the plane composition is roughly the same as that of the barrier system.
