Microbiology laboratory generally consists of five parts: preparation room, ordinary laboratory, sterilization room, constant temperature culture room (such as bacteria culture room, mold culture room, liquid culture room, solid culture room, etc.) and sterile room. In addition, it should be noted that the sterile room and ultra-clean workbench are the core parts of the laboratory, which mainly provide protection for the samples and ensure the accuracy of the experimental results.
According to the field of work (food, medical, pharmaceutical) and nature (teaching, research, production, monitoring, etc.), the decoration design composition and scale of the microbiology laboratory are also different, and they cannot be the same. In this article, CEIDI will combine the past experience in microbiological design and decoration to explain in detail the construction specifications of each function of the microbiological laboratory.
I.The composition of the microbiology laboratory
Microbial experiments are mainly for experiments and researches on the separation, cultivation, breeding, identification, morphology, variation, utilization, and harm of microorganisms. The decoration design of the microbiology laboratory generally includes: preparation room, microbial culture room, equipment disinfection and cleaning room, pure water room, testing room, bacteria room, storage room, etc.
II.The layout of the microbiology laboratory
The microbiology laboratory should be set up as an independent area, separated from other laboratories, the door should be equipped with access control, non-related personnel should not enter, and each room should be reasonably arranged according to the work content, which is convenient for work and does not affect each other.
1.Preparation room
The preparation room is used to prepare the culture medium and sample processing. Mainly equipped with laboratory benches, counters, refrigerators, electric stoves and power supplies, water pipes, heaters, steamers, washing utensils, washing agents, etc.
2.General laboratory
Ordinary laboratories are used for the observation, counting and physiological and biochemical determination of microorganisms. The layout of the general laboratory is determined by the actual work requirements of the construction party, and the general configuration is microscope, laboratory bench, reagent cabinet, etc.
3.Sterilization room
The sterilization chamber is used to sterilize the culture medium and various utensils. Mainly equipped with high-pressure steam sterilizer, oven, etc.
4.Constant temperature incubation room
①Cultivation room design: The culture room should have an inner and an outer room. The inner room is the culture room, and the outer room is the buffer room. The center of the inner and outer rooms should be equipped with ultraviolet lamps for sterilization; a constant temperature and humidity machine should be installed to maintain Indoor temperature and humidity requirements; vents with air filtering devices should be set on the partition walls of the inner and outer rooms.
② Cultivation room equipment: the inner room is equipped with a culture rack and a shaker (shaker); the outer room is equipped with a full set of special work clothes, hand-held sprayers, 5% carbolic acid solution, 70% alcohol cotton balls, etc.
5.Sterile room
The inoculation, transplantation, and purification of strains are an important operation in microbiological experiments. The sterile room is set up to ensure pure strains and prevent contamination of miscellaneous bacteria.
① The sterile room should have an inner and an outer room, an inner sterile room and an outer buffer room. The internal and external volume should be small rather than large to facilitate air sterilization.
② Ventilation windows should be installed above the entrance of the inner compartment, and a constant temperature and humidity machine can also be installed if conditions permit. The ventilation window is preferably a double-layer structure, the outer layer is a shutter, and the inner layer can be a sash window.
③ A transfer window can be installed on the partition wall between the inside and outside to reduce the entry and exit of eople and reduce pollution.
III.Parameter settings among some important functions of the microbiology laboratory
The microbiology laboratory mainly develops the temperature and humidity control range of the laboratory environment from the following aspects.
1.Identify the environmental temperature and humidity requirements of various tasks. The main considerations are: instruments, reagents, experimental procedures, laboratory staff (the human body generally feels comfortable at a temperature of 18-25°C and a relative humidity of 35-80%, and from a medical point of view, the environment is dry and there is a certain degree of throat inflammation. Causality).
2.Maintain and monitor. Through various measures to ensure that the temperature and humidity of the environment are within the control range, monitor the temperature and humidity of the environment and make monitoring records, take measures in time if the allowable range is exceeded, turn on the air conditioner to adjust the temperature, and fire the dehumidifier to control the humidity.
3.Select and develop an effective environmental temperature and humidity control range. Extract the narrowest range from the list of all requirements for the above elements as the allowable range of environmental control for the laboratory, formulate management procedures for environmental condition control, and formulate reasonable and effective SOPs based on the actual situation of the department.
4.Common parameter settings:
①Infrared room temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-60%
②Water room temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-65%
③Sample room temperature 10-25℃, humidity 35-70%
④Reagent room temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-80%
⑤Balance room temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-80%
⑥Central laboratory temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-80%
⑦Sample storage room temperature 10-30℃, humidity 35-80%
IV, CEIDI Microbiology Laboratory Decoration Design Case
CEIDI, as an outstanding representative of Shanghai laboratory engineering EPC, has been deeply involved in the laboratory decoration design industry, creating a high-quality, safe and sustainable experimental environment for the majority of laboratory employees. Xidi's past microbiological laboratory project examples-scientific research laboratory project: microbiological research clean room decoration project-Baiqu Biotechnology.
On July 20, 2019, the renovation project of the Baiqu medical in vitro diagnostic kit pilot base was contracted by CEIDI Xidi. Important technical personnel from both sides entered the site to clarify the drawings and civilized construction requirements. Shanghai Baiqu Biomedical Technology Co., Ltd. is a high-tech enterprise specializing in the application, consultation and development of cutting-edge research technology in life sciences. It is committed to sample testing, big data analysis and technical product development in the field of life sciences. Obesity, cardiovascular disease, cancer and other research and product development have achieved remarkable results. In 2016, Baiqu moved to the core sub-park of Shanghai Biomedical Industry Base and the core sub-park of Zhangjiang Hi-tech Jiading Park-Focus Dream Park, opening a new chapter in its development.
