The planning and design of the laboratory, whether it is new construction, reconstruction, or expansion, is not only about the layout of laboratory equipment and the layout of the flow of people and logistics, but also includes basic measures such as the use of weak electricity, water supply and drainage, gas supply engineering, and air conditioning and exhaust. The main considerations of laboratory design include laboratory circuits, laboratory waterways, laboratory air circuits, laboratory exhaust, reasonable design of laboratory equipment, selection of laboratory furniture, and so on.

I. Laboratory circuit designed in the laboratory

①The circuit design should conform to the Chinese voltage standard. Namely AC three-phase five-wire system power supply 380V, 50HZ; AC single-phase three-wire system power supply 220V, 50HZ.

②The specifications of the wires used should be calculated according to the electrical capacity, including the diameter of the wires and the size of the switch.

③ Copper core BVR and BV are used for wiring and wiring.

④Electrical appliances with heavier load should be equipped with a separate circuit, and the corresponding automatic protection switch should be designed.

⑤ The power supply of valuable and precision instruments should be equipped with AC voltage stabilizer or isolated power supply to ensure the safe and reliable operation of laboratory equipment and instruments.

⑥ The shells and sockets of electrical appliances in the laboratory must be well grounded to ensure personal safety.

⑦ Reasonable planning and design of air-conditioning and lighting. Reasonably design the electric heating device to achieve the purpose of safe and reliable use.

The circuit design of the laboratory includes two aspects of strong and weak current. Therefore, the design of the laboratory also covers information intelligent projects such as data communication and video surveillance. It is generally recommended that each main room has at least one telephone interface, and the laboratory with conditions should realize the visualization and management of the main channel.

II. Laboratory waterway of laboratory design

①Selection of materials for upper and lower water pipes: PVC materials, Kaitai pipes, ceramics, etc. can be used indoors, and metal is not suitable.

②The water pressure of the upper and lower water: ≥2.5 MPa

③Treatment of toxic and harmful liquids in the laboratory: after the secondary water storage device-disinfection and purification to reach the discharge standard-discharge. ④ The sewer pipes of the laboratory should be designed separately and should not be connected with other sewers such as toilets.

III. the laboratory gas path of laboratory design

① Regarding the storage of dangerous gases, a room with explosion-proof performance should be designed as a gas room, or a gas cylinder safety cabinet with a fully automatic alarm function should be set up for storage.

②The toxic and harmful gas generated in the experiment should pass through the negative pressure exhaust system first to ensure that the toxic and harmful gas does not leak indoors.

③According to the size and proportion of the laboratory rooms, design a corresponding number of ventilation fans with upwind valves to keep the air clean and unblocked.

④Each room must be designed with air vents and contain filtering devices. If it is a laboratory design with indoor corridors, blinds can also be installed, and the size specifications are calculated based on the ratio of the exhaust volume.
