In the design of the chemical analysis room in the laboratory design, the main points that need to be paid attention to are embodied in five aspects, namely: building requirements, water supply and drainage, ventilation facilities, gas and power supply, and laboratory benches.

1. Building requirements

The chemical analysis room needs fire resistance, so fire-resistant building materials should be used, and the partition and top surface should also be fire-resistant. The ground can be terrazzo ground, the windows should be dustproof, and the door should be opened outward for indoor lighting. In addition, 2 exits should be provided to facilitate the evacuation of personnel in the event of an accident.

2. Water supply and drainage

In terms of water supply, in order to meet the normal operation of equipment and equipment, the corresponding water pressure, water quality and water volume must be ensured. In terms of drainage, the indoor main valve should be set up in an easy-to-operate position, the sewer material should be made of acid and alkali resistant materials, and the ground should have a floor drain.

3. Ventilation facilities

Ventilation is an important part of laboratory design, because chemical analysis will produce toxic or flammable gases, good ventilation conditions are indispensable. There are three main types of ventilation facilities, namely: full room ventilation, partial exhaust hood, and fume hood.

(1) Whole room ventilation: a ventilation shaft or exhaust fan can be used, and the number of air changes is 5 times per hour.

(2) Local exhaust hood: Set up a local exhaust hood above the toxic or flammable gas generated by chemical analysis, which can reduce indoor air pollution.

(3) Fume hood: This is a common type of exhaust equipment with heating source, water source, lighting and other devices inside. Fume hoods are usually made of fire-proof and explosion-proof metal materials, coated with anti-corrosion paint, and the ventilation ducts are resistant to acid and alkali gases.

4. Gas and electricity
For gas, it is recommended to install pipeline gas. In terms of power supply, fluorescent lamps are suitable for lighting. If the equipment uses electricity, the 24h running electrical appliances must be powered separately, and the rest are controlled by the main switch. In addition, to prevent sudden power outages at night, emergency lights should be installed indoors and in the corridors.

5. Experimental bench
The experiment table is mainly composed of 3 parts, namely: the table top, the under-table bracket, and the utensil cabinet. Among them, the materials of the countertops are mostly veneer physical and chemical boards, solid core physical and chemical boards, corrosion-resistant artificial stones, and terrazzo. In addition, in order to facilitate operation, a medicine rack can be set on the table, and sinks can be installed at both ends of the table.
