The decoration of PCR laboratory must be standardized in design, reasonable in layout, and in line with relevant national laboratory standards. This article will introduce the planning and design plan of PCR laboratory decoration. Please pay more attention to it.
A reasonable planning and design plan for PCR laboratory decoration should consider two aspects, namely: laboratory layout planning and laboratory functional area division.
I. Laboratory layout planning
Generally speaking, the height of the PCR laboratory is 2.6-3 meters. As for its layout planning, it needs to be considered from the four aspects of process flow, actual use, equipment placement, and human factors.
II. Division of laboratory functional areas
For the decoration of PCR laboratory, the division of laboratory functional areas needs to be considered from the three aspects of ordinary experimental area, pollution control area, and airflow organization.
1. Ordinary experimental area: including four areas: product analysis area, amplification area, specimen preparation area, and reagent preparation area.
2. Pollution control area: There are 3 sets of plans for this area. The first set is to collude with each other between functions to enter the flow of people/logistics in the form of suites; the second set is to set up independent buffer rooms, separate flow of people/logistics, and have similar processes. Set up a logistics transfer window between the neighbors; the third set is to set up a shared buffer room/buffer corridor.
3. Airflow organization: It needs to be considered from the five aspects of the original reagent mixing room, DNA extraction room, PCR amplification room, detection room, and air outlet.
①Original reagent mixing room: The room pressure difference is positive pressure, equipped with a clean workbench to prevent other function rooms from polluting the room.
②DNA extraction room: The room pressure difference is negative pressure, equipped with an exhaust system to prevent the aerosol generated by the nucleic acid extraction from harming the staff and spreading pollution.
③PCR amplification room: The room pressure difference is negative pressure. Like the DNA extraction room, it is equipped with an exhaust system to prevent diffusion and pollution caused by amplified products.
④ Detection room: The room pressure difference is negative pressure. Like the DNA extraction room and PCR amplification room, it is equipped with an exhaust system to prevent related pollution.
⑤Air supply outlet: adopts top air supply, side bottom return/exhaust air method.
