Laboratory decoration is a complex system project, which needs to solve various problems. For this reason, the next few articles will introduce 15 problems in laboratory decoration in detail. Please pay more attention.

Question 1: Positioning and planning

First of all, let’s look at the positioning. The positioning of the laboratory decoration should be reasonable, including the four aspects of positioning domestically and internationally, in the industry, in the society, and in the geographical area.

Secondly, let’s look at the planning. The planning of laboratory decoration should be scientific, including the planning of architecture and craftsmanship.

Question 2: Construction process

The laboratory construction process is the conceptual design stage (confirmation of basic functions of the laboratory) → process design stage → civil engineering design stage → civil engineering stage → laboratory decoration and supporting engineering facilities → instrument equipment and supporting equipment connection and instrument debugging → trial operation stage → Engineering acceptance → laboratory personnel training.

In addition, for laboratory construction, relevant personnel must deeply realize that this is a complicated system engineering, not a simple combination of instruments and furniture, but a construction of the working environment, and a kind of work constructed from this environment the way.

Question 3: Design has priority

The so-called primary and secondary design is to complete the laboratory design first, and then complete the civil design. However, many laboratories did not do this in the civil construction stage, so the following 6 types of problems appeared:

1. No ventilation shaft is designed, or the location, size and quantity of the ventilation shaft cannot meet the requirements.

2. The gas cylinder room is not considered, and it is only designed as a fire-fighting gas cylinder room.

3. The overall layout of the laboratory is not planned, and the division is too simple or unreasonable.

4. The use of the instrument is not considered.

5. No special room functions are considered, such as constant temperature and humidity rooms.

6. The net floor height is too low, which affects the pipeline layout, and the space after decoration is low.

The correct approach is to carry out laboratory process design first, and to carry out civil engineering design under the premise of meeting process design requirements. In short, this is a process of concrete realization of abstract ideas through professional means, including laboratory design, installation, commissioning, maintenance and upgrades.

Question 4: Choice of decoration company

There are a large number of domestic laboratory decoration companies. Some are only responsible for design and some are only responsible for construction. Therefore, it is recommended that customers choose a decoration company with EPC general contractor. EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) refers to the integration of construction consulting, planning and design, construction engineering, acceptance and after-sales service.

The designer of the laboratory decoration company should be professional, comprehensive, experienced, serious and responsible, and it is best to choose a local company to facilitate the construction and subsequent maintenance work. After the design drawings are drawn, it is best to ask a third-party organization to review them to avoid unreasonable designs and major defects. And during construction, an experienced project manager should be assigned to facilitate schedule control, resource allocation, communication and coordination.

Question 5: Plane layout design

There is no doubt that the layout design must be done before the laboratory decoration. It is recommended to start from the functional partitions and work flow requirements, carefully consider the work and development needs, and rationally allocate space and optimize integration, so as to ensure There will be no problems in the subsequent professional design of water, electricity, and wind.

The layout of the flow of people and logistics should be done well. The pre-processing room and gas cylinder room should be set up on the same floor as the instrument room to avoid frequent running of the staff. At the same time, it can maximize the area of a single floor and reduce unnecessary floor. In addition, each floor must be equipped with a washing room and a sample room to make full use of the space.

Question 6: Power distribution system

Due to the complexity of the circuit requirements of the laboratory, it is not only necessary to meet the maximum voltage and power, but in terms of electrostatic grounding, power failure protection, and equipotential connection, many instruments and equipment have special requirements for circuits. Therefore, before the laboratory decoration, the design of the power distribution system should be completed according to the specific requirements of the equipment.

The design of the power distribution system needs to start from two aspects: 1 is the specific situation of the existing equipment and 2 is the future development plan. In short, we must fully consider the reservation problem of the power distribution system and future circuit maintenance problems from these two aspects.

In order to obtain reliable protection of laboratory power, uninterruptible power supply or dual circuit design is also an indispensable link. Specifically, in addition to meeting actual needs, the capacity of the uninterruptible power supply must also have a certain range of expansion in order to meet future development needs.

In addition, the power distribution system design for special areas must be done well. In the gas cylinder room, explosion-proof electrical components should be equipped to eliminate related safety hazards. Equipped with sufficient refrigerator sockets in the sample room, centrifuge sockets in the pretreatment room, automatic shoe cover dispenser sockets at the door, and corresponding sockets on both sides of the corridor.

Question 7: Weak current system

The weak current system of the laboratory decoration includes four parts: telephone, monitoring, access control, and network. Different from the strong current line, the weak current system is basically unchangeable after configuration, so it must be designed in this respect.

If the corridor of the laboratory is very long, in order to facilitate the telephone answering at work, a telephone line can be reserved at the far end. The sterile room is too soundproof, so it is necessary to preset an intercom phone to facilitate communication. In addition, an access control system must be set up at the main entrance of the laboratory.

The instrument room should reserve a sufficient amount of network interfaces, and in order to facilitate the connection of the instrument table to the table network interface during installation, a long enough thread should be reserved. In addition. The network interface should be side by side with the wall plug, and the height should be slightly higher than the experimental table, which is convenient for later use.
