I. The layout specification of biosafety laboratory design

In the layout of the biosafety laboratory design, the main area is composed of the main laboratory, the first and second buffer rooms, and the washing room. At the same time, a clean area (design focus is on the layout and structural maintenance) and a non-clean area ( The design focus is on clean air conditioning systems).

In order to prevent cross-contamination, the separation of the flow of people and logistics is also critical. Two interlocking transfer windows should be set up, one between the main laboratory and the preparation room, and the other between the main laboratory and the washing room. Through this design, not only can the experimental items be prevented from being contaminated, but also the contaminants can be treated as soon as possible.

II. Building materials and construction specifications designed by the biosafety laboratory

Color steel plates are the first choice for the top building materials of the biological safety laboratory, and oxygen resin is the first choice for the ground building materials. The reason for choosing these two types of building materials is that they have no cracks and have significant corrosion resistance.

The main frame of the biosafety laboratory is preferably divided by color steel plate glass, because this can improve the flame resistance, but it should be noted that the thickness of the partition glass should be controlled at 5mm. In addition, the window material is preferably aluminum alloy arc pressing line, the inner side of the connection should use aluminum alloy internal fillet, and the exposed connection line should use aluminum alloy external fillet

Third, the basic configuration specifications for biosafety laboratory design

The first configuration is a laboratory bench, all laboratories are equipped with laboratory benches, as well as biosafety laboratories. The countertop should have the characteristics of acid and alkali resistance and corrosion resistance. In order to facilitate the placement of experimental supplies, drawers and cabinets are also provided under the cabinet.

The second configuration is the washing room table, which consists of 5 parts: washing table, drip rack, faucet, sink, and drain hose, and its materials are all acid and alkali resistant PP materials.

The third item is configured as a biological safety cabinet, and a biological safety laboratory must be equipped with at least one biological safety cabinet. The biological safety cabinet has a front door that protects operators through vertical airflow, protects samples through multilayer HEPA filtration, and filters exhaust gas to protect the environment.

The fourth item is configured as a transfer window. The biosafety laboratory must be equipped with at least 2 transfer windows, and there are ultraviolet lamps for sterilization in the windows. This not only can isolate the indoor and outdoor air, but also facilitate the control of the transfer window, reduce the number of staff entering and leaving the laboratory, and facilitate the transfer of items by the experimenter.

The fifth item is configured as an interlocking door, so that when one door is not closed, the other door cannot be opened, so as to buffer the airflow entering the laboratory. Note that an emergency switch should be installed on the interlocking door to facilitate the staff to leave in the event of an accident.
