As practitioners in the laboratory decoration design industry, we often hear the news that "a laboratory has a huge investment and first-class equipment in the world. But the test results fluctuate, vary greatly, and the accuracy is poor." Such high investment and low return. What is the reason for the laboratory? See the common potential problems and risks in the laboratory for details.
I. Problems and risks of laboratory equipment
1. The instruments and equipment that affect each other are placed together and interfere with each other, and the data is not accurate.
2. The instrument and equipment have not been calibrated/verified for a long time, and the accuracy is not guaranteed.
3. The instrument and equipment are not subject to periodic inspection, and their performance is not controlled.
4. There is no status mark or confusion mark of the equipment and equipment, which is easy to be misused.
5. The equipment has no safety protection equipment, which poses safety risks to operators.
6. There is no classified storage of gas cylinders, no fixed and leak-proof facilities, and there is a hidden danger of deflagration.
7. The gas circuit of the instrument and equipment is messy and there is a fire safety hazard.
8. There is no record of the use of equipment and equipment, and abnormalities cannot be traced back.
9. The incomplete information of the instrument and equipment archives causes trouble for maintenance.
10. The equipment has no strong exhaust device, which is harmful to the operator.
II. Problems and risks of laboratory environmental control
1. There is no temperature and humidity meter between the operation room and the instrument, and the experimental environmental conditions are not clear.
2. There is no "three wastes" collection and treatment equipment, which poses a threat to the environment.
3. The walls of the room fall off, the floor is rough, the clutter is placed in disorder, the table top is messy, the environment is not good, and there is a danger of dust pollution experiment.
4. The laboratory has no forced ventilation equipment, no fireproof, waterproof, anticorrosive and first aid facilities, and there is no risk of personal safety.
5. Waste and long-term out-of-service equipment has not been cleared out of the testing site, and there is a risk of misuse.
6. There is no record of environmental conditions during testing, and testing results cannot be reproduced.
7. The logistics of the microbiology laboratory is not separated from the flow of people. The first, second, and third shifts are not standardized, and there is a risk of cross-contamination.
8. The pathogenic microbiology laboratory has no bio-safety equipment, and there is a risk of pathogen infection to the operators.
9. There is no effective isolation between the working spaces with shadows, which affects the accuracy of the detection results.
10. Offices, testing rooms, and instrument rooms are mixed and cross-contaminated, posing safety hazards and risk of accuracy of results.
III. Problems and risks of standards and reference materials
1. The standard has no controlled number. After the standard is changed, it cannot be retrospectively changed. There is a risk of misusing the old standard.
2. The standard has not been searched for a long time, and the standard abolished and newly issued are not grasped. There is a risk of misusing the old standard.
3. The obsolete standards are not recovered or stamped with a "fee" stamp, which may be misused.
4. There is no official copy of the current effective standards, and there is a possibility of text errors.
5. There is no publicity record for the new standard, and it cannot be guaranteed that all relevant personnel can accurately grasp it.
6. There are no approval procedures and records when the new standard is launched, and the responsibility of the technical person in charge is not in place.
7. There is a risk of cross-contamination if standard materials are mixed with other reagents.
8. There is no periodic inspection record for standard materials, and the standard quality is not controlled, which will affect the test results.
9. The standard material cannot be certified, the standard quality is not guaranteed, and there is a risk of result distortion
10. Use volumetric flasks to store standard materials, there is a risk of decreased measurement accuracy.
